HOUSTON - A day after the Pac-12 Conference pushed its 2020 football season to the spring, now so has one of the country's top recruits. Campbell, a four-star running back prospect in the Class of 2021, announced via his Twitter account Wednesday night that he has decided to forego his senior season and instead prepare to early enroll at USC. Campbell played his junior season for Pearland. Prior to his junior year, Campbell spent his freshman season at Mayde Creek and sophomore year at Katy Taylor. So, if the Pac-12 does indeed play a season in the spring, Campbell could see the gridiron then.

HOUSTON - The heartbeat of the Houston Heights women's hoops team is heading to UTEP. "The relationship I have built with the coaches & team over the past several months really made UTEP feel like home," Heights point guard Gracelynn Alvarez, who verbally committed to the Miners on Sunday, said. Alvarez was a key part to Heights posting an impressive 26-9 overall record and going 11-1 in district play last season. In fact, the Alvarez family built their own basketball court from the ground up in their backyard. "I've been playing ball since I was four-years-old and I can honestly say this is my passion," Alvarez said.

Born in Wichita, Kansas, the (Conroe) Oak Ridge three-star running back had someone who believed in him at an early age – his mom. "We moved from Kansas because she wanted me to play against the best competition and get the best coaching. McCaskill has emerged as one of the top backs in the state of Texas with offers from college football powers like Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn State and USC, just to name a few. "I really believe I was put on this earth to be a running back and destroy defenses," he said. "If I had 31 offers or zero offers, I still feel like that.

The Heights quarterback Jalen Morrison lit it up in 2019, throwing for over 2,500 yards and 20 touchdowns as a sophomore. "J-Mo" earned Newcomer of the Year honors and will strike fear in district opponents for the next two seasons. The 5-foot-11 dual-threat is putting in the work this summer with teammates and QB guru Jerrod Johnson, who now coaches for the Indianapolis Colts. At the end of the day, the UTEP coaches were up front and honest, which went a long way with Longino. Looking at UTEP's 2020 signing class, the Miners didn't sign a quarterback during that session and Longino is the first 2021 prospect to verbal.

HOUSTON - In an instant Foster women's basketball just got a major boost for the 2020-2021 season. On Wednesday, it was reported that Ensworth High School guard Kaiya Wynn would be transferring to Foster High School for her senior season. Wynn is a five-star prospect verbally committed to the University of Tennessee. Last season, Wynn helped guide Ensworth to an undefeated 28-0 mark and helped them win the DII-AA State Championship. The incoming senior joins a Foster women's basketball program that went 23-13 last season and reached the third-round.
