Driver found stabbed to death in SE Houston, crashed car in ditch

HOUSTON – Authorities are trying to piece together what happened in the moments before a driver was stabbed Sunday night and later found inside his crashed-out vehicle in a ditch.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. when Houston police were called to Maggie and Scott Street in Sunnyside where police found the man inside his car stabbed to death.

Based on preliminary information, the driver, 42, described only as an unidentified man went to confront his wife and another man at a hotel on Maggie Street. An argument escalated into someone stabbing the husband, who then drove away and crossed Scott Street before crashing into a ditch.

Homicide investigators were called to the scene to interview witnesses and gather evidence to get a closer look into how everything unfolded as part of an ongoing investigation.
