Driver cited after crashing SUV into Rosenberg Denny’s, injuring 23

ROSENBERG, Texas – The driver who allegedly drove his SUV into a Denny’s in Rosenberg on Sept. 4 has been cited, according to a police report.

In the report, officials said the driver was identified as Omer Tekin.

Tekin was cited for failure to control speed.

Investigators said he was driving 70 MPH however, the speed limit was 55 MPH in that area.

According to the District Attorney’s Office, the case hasn’t been turned in to them yet.

This means that there is still a possibility that it could be under investigation.
