Lockdown lifted at Lone Star College-Montgomery campus after search for suspects

HOUSTON ā€“ The all-clear was given at Lone Star College-Montgomery campus after a briefĀ lockdown Monday afternoon during a search for suspects.

The college tweeted at 1:26 p.m. for students and staff to go to the nearest classroom and lock the door in buildings on the campus at College Park Drive near the I-45 North Freeway.

College officials told KPRC2 that a Montgomery County deputy constable was following a vehicle when it turned onto campus property. Three suspects got out of the vehicle and ran off.

LSC's police chief tweeted there were three suspects, one of whom was wearing a blue shirt and light pants.

The campus was lockdown during the search, which was assisted by Lone Star College police.

LSC police tweeted about 20 minutes later that the all-clear was given.

The suspects are still on the run, but are no longer on the campus.
