HOUSTON – Should there be a JJ Watt Day, dedicated to the beloved Houston Texans defensive end?

Some people think so, even saying Watt deserves a key to the city.

A page on Change.org is now dedicated to the effort of making Aug. 27 a day to honor Watt.

Why Aug. 27, you ask? Last Sunday, Aug. 27, Watt set up a fundraiser to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey and the Houston flood catastrophe.

“As of now, he has raised $13,094,751. That by itself is just mind-blowing. (Five) days, and (he) has raised over $13 million,” the Change.org page reads. “Here is the fundraiser page. This isn't the only reason he deserves a key to the city and a day named after him. He is all about making a difference. Now, it's time for Houston to show him that we appreciate everything he has and continues to do for us. Let's give him a day and a key to the city. Join me in making this happen!”
