Minute Maid debuts delicious new ballpark menu this Astros season

HOUSTON – The Astros are expected to return home Monday, and the crews around Minute Maid Park want to make sure everything is ready for the home opener — including the ball park menu. The park is adding some spicy new items just in time for the Royals' visit.

While there are high expectation for the Astros on the field this season, fans can expect a lot off the field as well with the deliciously revamped menu.

"Every year we try to bring out new things, try to raise the bar and keep things exciting for the fans," Aramark Chef Judd Denley said. "While they're eating, while they're watching the game, so the whole experience is great!"

To help build up the hype, Aramark had fans vote for their favorite street taco. Ballpark lovers got to choose between a variety of options, including Bloody Mary chicken, chorizo and potato, chipotle pescado, and Hawaiian pulled pork.

Aramark Food Services will also feature a new twist on the old favorites, such as the Nolan Ryan jalapeno cheese dog, hand-dipped corn dogs and a little something just for the adult fans.

"Root beer that tastes just like root beer, but has a little alcohol in it," Astros fan Lupe Contreras said. "I love it."
