The San Antonio-based restaurant announced Monday that it plans to introduce the Chorizo Burger.

The burger consists of two patties, chorizo, poblano pepper, red peppers, onions, two slices of Monterey Jack cheese and a new, creamy chili sauce.

"Mexican-style chorizo makes this burger unique with its deep red color, fresh blend of spices and bold, flavorful profile," Whataburger Vice President of Marketing and Innovation Rich Scheffler said. "The flavors on this burger blend nicely for a balanced but savory taste we think our customers will enjoy."

Whataburger also plans to bring back the Chorizo Taquito to the menu for its late-night and breakfast customers.

The taquito, which will be sold from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m., will feature a flour tortilla with scrambled eggs, chorizo and American cheese.

Whataburger hasn't announced a start date for the latest delicacies, so customers are encouraged to check out the company's social media channels for the latest updates.
