Sunny skies on Sunday and temperatures moving into the mid 60s

HOUSTON – Sunday will also see sunny skies and highs bumping even warmer, back into the mid 60s. A dry cold front (meaning no rain is expected) will drift across SE Texas through the rest of the day but it won't have much, if any effect on our forecast for the end of the weekend.  The one change will be a stronger northwest wind which may make things a little breezy in the afternoon, however that's all we'll see.

High pressure slides in across the Central US early next week which will make sure we see a well-deserved warm up with highs back in the upper 60s Monday, pushing to the low 70s midweek! As we head into the end of the week, clouds return Friday with the next storm system cranking up from the southwest moving in on Saturday. Highs will fall back into the 50s and another Arctic shot of cold air will ensure a cold, rainy weekend is likely for next weekend. Right now, you might want to make sure you have a backup indoor plan for your Super Bowl party!
