Crime Stoppers and Houston police need help finding a suspect who allegedly shot and killed a 13-year-old driver while driving and wounded two other teenagers on the North Loop earlier this month.
Officers chase down possibly intoxicated wrong-way driver on the North Freeway, HPD says
Houston police, with the help of Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies, said they were able to catch up to a wrong-way driver traveling on the North Freeway Thursday morning. Authorities said the chase ended in Montgomery County.
HPD: 1 person in custody, another on the run following fatal crash on North Loop at Ella Blvd.
HOUSTON, – Houston police detained one person and are searching for another following a fatal crash on North Loop at Ella Blvd. A driver in a black SUV traveling on the N Loop W feeder road ran a red light and broadsided a Honda Civic driving southbound on Ella Boulevard, according to Houston police. The driver in the broadsided vehicle, an adult male, died in the wreck. An officer in the area witnessed the accident and detained the driver in the striking vehicle, a middle aged woman. Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division is on scene conducting an investigation.
Houston mom shot in head working to recover nearly a year later
HOUSTON – The family of a mother who was shot in the head as she drove along the North Loop called for justice Sunday, almost one year after the shooting that nearly claimed her life. The shooting occurred Nov. 15 on North Loop East near I-10, according to Houston Police Department. Authorities said Hernandez and her boyfriend had left a bar after multiple shots were fired. Police on the scene said the boyfriend then asked Hernandez if she had heard anything, only to find she’d been shot in her head. The shooting has left Hernandez unable to walk or work.
