Texansโ latest firing is another example of a troubling trend
New personnel members making changes isnโt overly surprising, but the firing of the equipment staff is rubbing many in the Texans organization the wrong way. Sources confirmed to KPRC that a number of players are not happy with the recent move of firing longtime equipment manager Mike Parson and his staff. Itโs an example of a troubling trend thatโs emerged within the walls of a seemingly dysfunctional franchise; letting go of quality employees who donโt fit Jack Easterbyโs โcultural vision.โThe Texans fired VP of Communications Amy Palcic after reportedly telling her she didnโt fit their culture. If the Texans continue the current trend, there surely will be other quality players and employees they cut ties with; we just know it wonโt be Jack Easterby, who Cal McNair has made clear will stay. JJ Watt took to Twitter to voice his support of Parson and his staff.
Texans hope for strong defense in Cleveland
In Week 10, the Texans are in an odd spot. This past week, the Texans unexpectedly fired VP of Communications, Amy Palcic. That may not seem like it has to do anything with football, but it was another indication of the Texans being in bad shape behind the scenes. With how this season has gone, a win in Cleveland would be more than valuable. Itโs going to be a challenge for our defense, but a challenge obviously that weโll accept.โThis Browns team can run the ball, and the Texans rank 32nd in rushing defense; a stat that is unsettling heading into Sunday.
Houston Texans fire PR boss Amy Palcic
(AP) โ The Houston Texans have fired vice president of communications Amy Palcic. She was the first and only woman to be in charge of public relations for an NFL team. Just wants whatโs best for the team and whatโs best for the organization. Always trying to do whatโs best and was a massive helping hand with me during the hurricane and during my entire time here. The remainder of the team's public relations staff remains intact.
