Houston gears up for Game 1 of ALDS Friday at Minute Maid Park

HOUSTON – With less than eight hours to go before the Astros' postseason play begins, Minute Maid Park is ready for fans to show up in full force.

Gates open at 10 a.m. and game ticket holders will have a chance to enjoy the Astros Street Fest, which will have everything from live music to plenty of food, games and more.

"We're pumped. We actually moved down here from Sugar Land this past year to be closer to the stadium," David Zepeda said. "We were concerned that there wasn't going to be enough hype because it's a 1 o'clock game. But this is Houston, H-Town, Clutch City, Hustle Town. I think everybody's going to show up ... and we're going to represent."

As the Astros take on the Cleveland Indians in the American League Division Series, Houston fans are already making predictions.

"They're going to take it in three. They're going to win here and go back over there and win one and that's it," Aaron Sengstock said.

Many fans said the team is better than ever and it's time for another championship repeat for a Houston team.

"A back-to-back World Series win would be fantastic and would just make us an even stronger and prouder city," Zepeda said.

"We should be known as H-Town back-to-back City after this season," Juan Garcia said.
