Via Colori will transform Downtown Houston into massive outdoor art gallery

Hundreds of artists will show off their talents

The Via Colori Street Painting Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday.

HOUSTON – An event being held this weekend will celebrate the artistic spirit of Houston.

It's called the Via Colori Street Painting Festival.

Hundreds of artists will create and showcase their works of art, creating a massive outdoor art gallery in Downtown Houston. There will also be live music, food and activities for the family.

This is the 11th year for the festival, which has grown into one of Houston's signature art events.

All proceeds from Houston Via Colori benefit The Center for Hearing and Speech, a local nonprofit that serves children with hearing loss.

WHEN: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHERE: Hermann Square at City Hall and the surrounding streets of McKinney, Bagby and Walker.

COST: Pre-sale general admission is $7 if you buy your ticket early online Friday. Saturday and Sunday, attendees pay $10 at the door. VIP lounge passes are available for $40 each.
