Tornado touches down in Wharton County, officials say

EAST BERNARD, Texas – A tornado touched down in Wharton County Saturday, officials confirmed.

The tornado was spotted at County Road 278 north of East Bernard.

Officials said houses and trailers were damaged and trees were knocked over.

There were no reported injuries.

Deputies are at the scene.
