HOUSTON – A missing woman’s body was recovered from the jaws of an alligator Tuesday morning in a Clear Lake bayou, according to the Houston Police Department.
The discovery was made at 8:40 a.m. after police searched for the missing woman in the Horsepen Bayou, just west of El Dorado Boulevard.

The HPD Dive Team recovered the remains and the alligator from the bayou.
An autopsy is being conducted to determine if the woman was killed by the alligator or if she died by other means and was later consumed by the gator.
Anyone with information in this case is urge to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600.
