Thief drags woman while stealing purse, police say

NORTHWEST HOUSTON, Texas – A woman was robbed while walking from her apartment to her vehicle in northwest Houston, police said.

A woman was leaving her apartment in the 8000 block of Tidwell on April 21 around 6:45 a.m. when a man grabbed the woman’s purse, police said.

According to authorities, the woman wouldn’t let her purse go easily, so the man dragged the woman on the ground.

The man eventually pulled the purse away from the woman and got away, officials said.

The man seen on surveillance footage has a light brown complexion, green eyes, slightly red hair and is estimated to be 25 to 29 year old.

According to police the man is 6 feet 4 inches and weighs between 180 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a brown and tan stripped shirt, brown shorts and tan scarf on his head.
