14-year-old found stabbed to death in southwest Houston street

HOUSTON – A 14-year-old was stabbed and killed Monday in southwest Houston, officials said.

The victim, Joseph  Aguirre-Flores, was found in the 9800 block of Beechnut near Park Circle Drive with multiple stab wounds, police said. He was pronounced dead the at the scene.

Witnesses told police they heard a scream and saw Flores running after the stabbing before he collapsed in the street. Witnesses saw two dark men leaving on foot down Sam Houston Tollway, police said.

“We still have to interview witnesses and we still have to look at surveillance video and stuff like that,” Detective Young said.


According to police, the teen did not live close to the area where he was stabbed. It is unclear what he was doing there.

Beechnut was closed just before the Beltway for hours as police investigated.

No arrests have been made.
