The driver of the truck got out of his vehicle and asked the teen for directions, according to investigators. During the conversation, the man lifted his shirt and exposed a large knife, which was in a sheath. The man threatened the teen and forced her to get in his vehicle, investigators said.

The teen complied.

When the truck later came to a stop, the teen fled from the vehicle and flagged down a citizen to call 911, according to authorities.

The man is described by investigators as a heavy set, middle-aged white man, with short brown hair, a clean shaven face and a deep voice.

His vehicle was captured on surveillance video cameras.
