NEW CANEY, Texas – Four people were arrested in New Caney on Wednesday after investigators said they discovered the group was involved in a family drug business.
Sheri Ann Young, 51, was arrested in a travel trailer in which she's accused of running a meth operation. Her son, Michael J. Young, 29, was arrested with Moriah Joy Carroll, 20, and Robert Reneau, 43, during a traffic stop.

Montgomery County Precinct 4 deputy constables said the arrests were made after they investigated claims that Sheri Young was selling methamphetamine from a trailer on a property in the 21600 block of Punkin.
According to investigators, surveillance of the residence showed a large number of visitors who stayed for short periods of time, which raised suspicions.
Around 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday, a Precinct 4 lieutenant conducted a traffic stop on a red Chevy S-10 pickup, which was one of the vehicles that was used during a short visit at Young's residence.
Two men and two women were traveling eastbound on McCleskey in the truck. One of the women was sitting on a man's lap and neither had a buckled seatbelt, deputy constables said.
As the deputy approached and activated his emergency equipment, he said he could see the woman on the male's lap lean over, out of site, for several seconds. The deputy said that led him to suspect she was attempting to hide contraband, investigators said.
The lieutenant said he recognized the driver, Reneau, who acted extremely nervous and was visibly shaking.
A search of the vehicle and its contents revealed 14 pills identified as a dangerous drug in Carroll's purse, deputies said.
The lieutenant said he also discovered a white plastic container with a glass pipe and over a half gram of methamphetamine. Reneau was detained and his passengers were then identified as Michael Young, Carroll, and a second woman who was the only member of the group that did not end up in jail.
Deputies said Carroll initially denied having any contraband with her, but later admitted that she hid methamphetamine in her vaginal area.
According to Carroll, Michael Young, whose lap she was sitting on at the time of the stop, tried to force the drugs down her pants when he saw law enforcement, deputies said. Authorities said Carroll agreed to hide the drugs.
Meanwhile, investigators conducting surveillance on Sheri Young's residence said they saw her emerge from the camper trailer carrying a wicker basket, which she placed behind the camper.
After deputies took the suspects to the Precinct 4 office for booking, the lieutenant paid Sheri Young a visit. The lieutenant said the wicker basket contained glass smoking pipes with methamphetamine residue, two digital scales and a marijuana smoking pipe.
Deputies said a search of the residence revealed another large digital scale, an empty box for a different digital scale and multiple used syringes containing a red liquid.
Multiple small plastic bags typical of those used to package narcotics for sale were found inside Sheri Young's purse, investigators said.
Sheri Young was taken into custody and transported to the Precinct 4 office for booking. While in the office, she collapsed and began having a seizure that lasted more than 10 minutes, deputies said.
Authorities said an ambulance responded and transported the mother to the emergency room in Kingwood, where hospital staff removed a clear plastic bag containing over three grams of methamphetamine from her vaginal cavity. She was later released and the booking process continued.
Sheri Young is charged with third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance.
Michael Young was charged with third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance and third-degree felony for tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair.
Carroll was charged with third-degree felony possession of a controlled substance and third-degree felony for tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair and class-A misdemeanor possession of a dangerous drug.
Reneau has been charged with state jail felony possession of a controlled substance.
