5-hour standoff with suspect ends following armed robbery at Little Cesar’s in north Houston

HOUSTON – Two men were arrested for an aggravated robbery that ended with one suspect barricading himself inside of a building in north Houston on Monday, the Houston Police Department said.

The mugshots for the suspects were released on Thursday. Travon Sims, 24, and Tyler Strange, 18, were arrested for aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

The two men are accused of robbing a Little Cesar’s at 16200 Imperial Valley around 1 p.m.

Police were later dispatched to the scene due to the crime, and authorities were able to get a description of the suspects.

Strange was found and arrested a few minutes after the robbery. Sims was later found walking to a building in the 600 block of North Sam Houston Parkway East.

Sims entered the four-story building and barricaded himself.

Authorities were able to clear the building, and no one was injured. The suspect was arrested five hours later.
