Man, 15-year-old boy wanted in shooting of 18-year-old woman in northeast Houston

HOUSTON – A man and teenager are wanted in a shooting that left an 18-year-old woman injured on Sunday in northeast Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

One suspect, Angel Flores, 20, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault of a family member. A March 2023 booking photo of Flores was released to the public in hopes someone will recognize him.

The 15-year-old boy has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and will be referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities once he is in custody. The identity and photo of the teen will not be released because he is a juvenile.

What happened

The shooting was reported at 8:55 p.m. in the 9600 block of 9600 Aguila Street.

Officers found a woman, man and a teenage boy with gunshot wounds. They were taken to area hospitals.

During the investigation, police said several residences and parked vehicles along the street were damaged by gunfire.

According to police, the woman suffered from gunshot wounds to her leg and arm, and underwent surgery. The wounded man, identified as Flores, and the juvenile were both treated and released from the hospital during the ongoing investigation.

During the follow-up investigation, detectives said they learned Flores and the juvenile male wounded in the shooting were the suspects who fired weapons.
