On Nov. 23, 2022, deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Dominion Park Drive at around 6:50 p.m.

Residents in the area told deputies they heard shots being fired. When they came out, they found McDaniel in the breezeway of the apartment complex, HCSO said.

Deputies said McDaniel was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the shooting stemmed from a love triangle between Todd, McDaniel, and another woman.

According to the Harris County District Clerk’s Office, Todd was previously charged with terroristic threat to a family member but has since made bond in July 2022. He was also charged for possession of marijuana in 2015.

Todd is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
