The clerk told officers that he was cleaning the floors when the suspect walked up to him and pointed and gun while demanding money.

The clerk said he then walked around the counter and opened the cash drawer, removing the money. Once the suspect had the money in his hand, surveillance video shows him pointing a gun at the clerk’s chest and pulling the trigger. When the gun did not fire, the suspect racked the slide and put a live round into the chamber, pointed the gun at the clerk’s chest again, and pulled the trigger, striking the clerk in the chest.

The suspect then walked out of the store and fled in an unknown direction.
