1 dead, 2 injured in shooting inside clothing store in southwest Houston, police say

HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after one person was killed and two others were injured in a shooting at a clothing store in southwest Houston Tuesday, officers with the Houston Police Department said.

Police said they were flagged down while a shooting was in progress at a shooting in strip center parking lot located at 11503 Southwest Fwy around 10 p.m.

Officers said when they arrived at the scene, they located one man who is believed to be 25-30 years old dead with gunshot wounds in the store. Two other men had been shot and were transported to the hospital, HPD said. Police said one of the men is in stable condition the other, 31 years old, is in critical condition. Police said they also found narcotics in plain view.

According to investigators, the victims were inside the clothing store at the time of the shooting. Detectives said at this time, they have video of the events outside of the store but not inside.

Officers said the motive in the shooting appears to be robbery. There are no known suspect descriptions at this time.
