Juvenile accused of sexually assaulting child, promoting child pornography

HOUSTON – A juvenile has been accused of sexually assaulting a child and promoting child pornography, according to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office.

The investigation began when the department’s high-tech crimes division received a Cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about an online account that contained images of a child being sexually exploited. Investigators traced the source of the account to a home in Harris County Precinct 4.

After a warrant was issued to search the home, officials said the juvenile was in possession of child pornography and contained files of child sexual exploitation, which was shared with other online users. During the investigation, officials said it was also discovered that the juvenile had sexually assaulted a child.

The juvenile was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and promotion of child pornography. Because the suspect is a juvenile, officials will not release the suspect’s identity or mug shot.
