Klein Cain High School student arrested after making threat on Snapchat, officials say

HOUSTON – A Klein Cain High School student was arrested after posting a threat to the school on social media, according to officials.

Judy Rimato, a spokeswoman for the Klein Independent School District, said administrators at the school were made aware of a threat being circulated on Snapchat that featured the image of a boy threatening the school. She said administrators identified the boy in the image as a student at the school, and he was taken into custody.

Rimato said no weapons were found on campus.

“Klein ISD does not tolerate any threats of harm against other students or staff and works in coordination with the police and the district attorney’s office regarding such matters,” Rimato said in a written statement about the incident.

The student’s identity was not released. It was not immediately clear if he faces any charges.
