SANTA FE, Texas - Pole vaulter Clay Horn was shot twice in the Santa Fe High School shooting last week, but this week he got a surprise that is sure to make him feel at least a little better.
While in the hospital, Horn said he would like to meet a certain member of the Houston Texans. What happened next is a thing out of fairy tales.
J.J. Watt visited Horn in the hospital on Monday.
Photos of the meeting were posted to social media.
Horn is scheduled for another surgery on Tuesday and is hoping to return to pole vaulting when he recovers.
Watt also met with Sarah Salazar. Salazar, according to a Facebook post by her mother, was the only person taken out of the room where the shooting happened still alive.
Thank you thank you @JJWatt for coming to see Sarah today. Even though she is not allowed to talk to much she has this huge smile on her face and keeps rambling on about you! You made her feel so special today it means so much to see that beautiful smile on her face! ❤️ — Bri💚💛👼🏽 (@briannahuuston) May 21, 2018
A post on a GoFundMe page for Salazar by her aunt says Salazar is making progress after a tube was removed from her throat.
