Family, advocacy group fights for man detained by ICE

HOUSTON - The wife of a man detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers is fighting to bring her husband back home.

FIEL, a group that advocates for immigrant families, said federal agents took Carlos Gudiel, 29, into custody last month while he was loading tools into his truck before work.

Activists said the agents were not looking for Gudiel, and that his 14-year-old son was there when his father was being taken away.

Gudiel’s family is working with an attorney to return him to his home in the United States, advocates said.
