Don't feel like driving? 3 things to know about Black Friday travel options

HOUSTON – Black Friday is almost here, and with it the hassles and headaches of holiday shopping begin.

However, there's a way you don't have to drive yourself crazy -- or even drive.

Several private services and shopping centers are offering shuttles.

1) If you search Facebook, you'll find small business owners like private drivers offering to take you to as many stores as you want and provide a safe place for your packages.

"I  wanted a safe way for women and moms to shop," said Gwynne Floyd, who can carry 14 passengers in her van. Prices range from $15 to $20 per person round trip, depending on the number in the group. You can reach her at 713-298-4096.

2) Houston Premium Outlets is partnering with HGS Travel to provide a shuttle service with pickup from The Whitehall Hotel in Downtown Houston and The Cheesecake Factory in The Galleria. It costs $40 person round trip. Click here to book your seat.

3) To avoid parking problems, several area malls also offer valet parking.

If you do drive yourself, be patient.

"Parking is always a challenge. We prepare for it very well here. We do have off-site parking set up once we go into overflow and we get full. Be flexible, there's normally continual spaces as people come and go throughout the night," said Heidi MacMillan with Houston Premium Outlets.
