HOUSTON – Charming Charlie filed for Chapter 11 in United States Bankruptcy Court, according to a release from the company.
The company said it hopes that "by reducing the size and scale of our business, we can focus on the core strengths that make the Company successful while continuing to improve our customers’ experience."

The "comprehensive financial and operational restructuring" is an attempt to ensure the company can move forward.
The company said their stores will remain open for business.

The company fired off a series of tweets Tuesday, reassuring customers that the stores would remain open.
