TSA screeners say the gun was found in his backpack

Dvarius Irvell Conerly is accused of bringing a loaded gun into a secured area of Bush Intercontinental Airport.

HOUSTON – A man was arrested for bringing a loaded gun into a secured area of Bush Intercontinental Airport, authorities said.

Dvarius Irvell Conerly, 22, was arrested Saturday.

According to the Houston Police Department, Conerly works at a restaurant in the airport, and was going through the screening area in terminal C when agents said they found a loaded 9mm pistol in his backpack.

Conerly is charged with carrying a prohibited weapon in a prohibited place. He posted a $5,000 bond.
