HOUSTON – Hazmat crews were called Wednesday to the scene of an overturned 18-wheeler in a northeast Houston neighborhood.
According to investigators, the driver was trying to make a turn around 12:15 a.m. when the truck rolled over onto the sidewalk on Harbor and Brownwood and landed on a fire hydrant. The hydrant punctured a hole in the truck's tank.
Officials said the tank was carrying glycerin, which is not a hazardous material.
