Men armed with machete, gun assault homeowner during home invasion, officials say

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A homeowner was assaulted during a home invasion Monday, according to Harris County authorities.

Officials said four men broke into a residence in the 20300 block of Little Wing Drive.

One man was armed with a gun, another with a machete and two others with what appeared to be kitchen knives, the homeowner said.

Three people, two men and one woman, were at the house at the time. One of the men was punched in the face by one of the intruders.

Authorities said nothing was taken from the home and the homeowner was not injured.

Witnesses said the intruders parked in front of the house, entered the backyard through a side gate and broke in through a window.

They were driving a gray, four-door Mazda, the homeowner said.

When entering the house through the window, one of the intruders cut himself and left blood smears on the blinds. A sample of the blood was taken by detectives.
