Police release sketch of man wanted in connection to north Houston rape

HOUSTON – Police have released a sketch of a man wanted in connection with a rape that happened in north Houston. 

According to a news release, three unknown men abducted a woman around 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 near Ruschcreek Drive and Northborough Drive. 

The victim was taken to a wooded and swampy area, where she was continuously assaulted by the men, police said. 

Officers also said the woman was cut and stabbed multiple times, and the men tried to drown, suffocate and strangle the victim before fleeing the scene. The woman woke up hours later and was able to flag down help.

Police released the sketch of one of the men believed to be involved in hopes of being able to identify him. 

He is described as a black man believed to be in his mid-20s, with a medium build, braided hair and a flames tattoo on his neck area. Police said he was believed to have been wearing a gold chain. 

Anyone with information is being urged to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. 

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for any information that leads to the arrest and/or charge of the individual.
