Finishing touches put on floats for H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade

HOUSTON – Finishing touches are being done on floats for the H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Some of the floats include Tom Turkey, Santa Claus, and a cornucopia.

The 69th annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade is happening on Thanksgiving morning, next week at 9 a.m. in downtown Houston.

“And really it’s a wonderful tradition for us to join with our city and celebrate the start of the holiday season,” said Lacey Dalcour Salas, public affairs manager for H-E-B.

This year's parade will feature 15 floats, 18 high-flying balloons, 10 performance groups and 18 marching bands.

This year's grand marshals are the Astros' Jose Altuve and the Rockets' James Harden.
