HOUSTON – A woman is dead after she was hit by two vehicles while trying to cross the freeway in north Houston.
According to police, the woman was trying to cross I-45 the North Freeway near W. Mount Houston around 9 p.m. Sunday when she was hit.Â
Rather than cross under the freeway and an intersection, police said the woman using the main lanes and was hit by a passing pickup truck and then another small car traveling southbound.
According to police, both drivers stopped at the scene and waited for them to arrive.
They are both cooperating with the investigation and no charges are expected to be filed.
