Man runs, kicks security guard in food store robbery in northeast Houston

Houston police are searching for two men responsible for injuring a security guard during a robbery in northeast Houston.

HOUSTON – Houston police are looking for multiple people involved in a food store robbery on Sept. 26.

Two men entered the Big Food Mart at 11330 Homestead Road around 8:30 p.m. and took two bottles of wine without paying, police said. Employees at the store attempted to confront the man and the men became confrontational.

One of the men slapped the security guard's hands and kicked him, causing the guard to fall to the ground, according to police.

One of the thieves is described by police as an 18 to 20-year old black man with a medium build, wearing a white muscle shirt, black shorts, white shoes and a backpack.

The second thief is described by police as an 18 to 20-year old Hispanic man with a thin build, wearing a black shirt, black pants and red Nike shoes.
