Man accused of stabbing another man at SW Houston apartment

HOUSTON – A man is now charged after police said he stabbed another man at a southwest Houston apartment complex Friday.

Josue David Celis-Maltes, 28, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The incident happened just before 11 p.m. in the 10110 block of Club Creek Drive near Greenfork Drive. 

Police say Walter Rubino was visiting friends at an apartment complex when he was stabbed.

Rubino, 29, suffered a stab wound to the chest and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. He is expected to recover.

Officers said they found Celis-Maltes in his vehicle near his residence.

Celis-Maltes had outstanding warrants for murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to police.
