Woman terrorized by peeping Tom says man returns weekly

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – While looking through a window in her home, a woman caught a man exposing himself.

She said the same man comes every week around the same time. Her family ii terrified.

"It's so weird that it's so close. It's right outside my window," said Cecilia Adams.

Adams lives in the area near Veteran's Memorial Drive and Beltway 8 in northwest Houston. She said, about a month ago, she heard a man talking through her window.

"That's my bedroom, and the first time I heard him was 11:30 p.m. at night," said Adams. "I wanted to see what that noise was so I walked to the side of the house and there he was."

The man was standing in her backyard. Adams said the man told her he was relieving himself and that he lived down the street. She told him to go home. It happened again seven days later.

"He comes back on the same night -- a Tuesday night -- and I hear the noise again," Adams said.

Terrified, she ran into her sister's room. She peeked through the blinds, only to see him staring back at her.

"I was scared out of my mind, let go of the blinds, went back to the hallway and dialed 911," Adams said.

Every Tuesday, she said, the same man comes back -- always when it's dark. She said Harris County deputies told her that, without proof or a description, their hands were tied.

Her family bought three security cameras.

"I got them Saturday hoping to get him on video. I didn't think he was going to come back and this was his fourth time here," Adams said.

This week, again on Tuesday, around 4:30 a.m, her cameras caught the man. He saw the cameras and tried to take them.

He was able to take one.

"We can't walk out of our house just comfortable. We always have to lock the door," Adams said.

Now, she hopes someone can help identify the man so that no other family is afraid to be home.

"You feel like you're supposed to be safe at home, and this is not the case," Adams said.

KPRC spoke with deputies, who said they are working to get extra patrols in the neighborhood and are looking into the videos. If anyone knows who this man is, you can call Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies at 712-221-6000.
