Armed Forces Appreciation Day at Houston Rodeo

Visitors urged to dress in red, white and blue

HOUSTON – All rodeo-goers are urged to throw on patriotic cowboy gear Wednesday in honor of Armed Forces Appreciation Day at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

NRG Park is offering free admission to actively serving service members in uniform and with a current military ID, spouses of actively serving personnel with a current military spouse ID, and children under the age of 18.

A number of activities are scheduled, including joint service military displays, U.S. Air Force security dogs exhibition and music.

KPRC2 anchor Bill Balleza will serve as guest master of ceremony at Stars Over Texas Stage-The Junction.
