Man found in dog house, another on the run after chase in north Houston

HOUSTON – A police chase ended with one man's arrest and another man still on the run.

Police said an officer spotted a car without license plates around 3 a.m. on Gulf Bank and tried to stop the driver. Instead of pulling over, the driver, with a passenger inside, led police on a short chase.

According to officers, the chase ended at a dead end on Sunnywood and Saddle Rock, where both men jumped out of the car and ran through a neighborhood.

A K-9 unit found the driver of the vehicle hiding in a dog house. Police said he has a felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

The passenger was not caught.

Officers are working to determine if the car is stolen and who the passenger is.
