HOUSTON – Two Houston police officers are freezing their badges off in Minneapolis as part of security efforts for Super Bowl LII.

Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo tweeted a picture of the pair of officers clad in cold weather gear along with the K-9 partners.

“They are a bit chilly at the Super Bowl, but they are still standing tall, looking good and staying strong,” Acevedo said in his tweet.

Acevedo said the pair are part of the explosives detection team.

Sunday’s high temperature in Minneapolis is forecast to be 7 degrees.
