'Wishing you well parade' held for little girl battling cancer

HOUSTON – A little girl who is all too familiar with battling cancer received a special gift Thursday from her school.

Marlee Pack, 11, was the grand marshal of a well-wishing parade that was held in her honor outside of Sienna Crossing Elementary School in Missouri City.

Marlee is battling a resurgence of alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma cancer, which is a form of bone cancer, and is unable to attend school.

Prior to her mother taking her to a doctor's appointment, the two made a surprise stop by Marlee's school.

Students and faculty  formed a line outside of the building and held signs and posters, showing their support.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Department was also on hand to participate in the parade.
