HOUSTON – A father is in the hospital after he was burned while saving the lives of his three children when their east Houston duplex caught fire, neighbors said.
The fire started just after 11 p.m. Sunday at the home in the 3800 block Lila Street.
The children, ages 2, 4 and 10, suffered smoke inhalation and minor injuries.
The father suffered burns to his hands and feet, officials said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
