LAKE CHARLES, La. – A man and a woman have been arrested and are being held in the Harris County Jail on charges of aggravated assault after authorities said they were connected to the death of a man in Louisiana on Aug. 2.
Boyd "Lurch" Hagood, 45, and Ashley Brown, 22, both of Baytown, were the last people Dustin Hammons was seen with, according to Hammons' family members.

Hagood and Brown were arrested Tuesday.
Hammons' body was found in an open field near the area of Creek and Bud Bennet roads in Starks.
Authorities believe his death was drug-related.
