Man shot in leg in East Houston, police say

HOUSTON – A man was hospitalized Monday when he was shot in the leg after a group argument in East Houston, police said.

The incident was reported at 1:45 a.m. in the 7700 block of Mesa Road.

Houston police said a 21-year-old man and several others were in a home when an argument broke out between a few people. Police said one of them got a pistol from a vehicle and shot at two people.

One of the bullets struck 21-year-old man in the leg, officials said.

Police said the gunman fled the scene.

The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
