Man, 60, dies in crash after running red light, police say

HOUSTON – Police said a red light runner is to blame for a deadly crash Monday in northwest Harris County.

The crash was reported around 8:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of West Mount Houston Road at Deer Trail Drive.

Harris County Sheriff's Deputies said a 60-year-old man was driving a Nissan Sentra when he went through the light and T-boned a Jeep.

The 60-year-old driver died at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep taken to a hospital as a precaution.

The crash remains under investigation.
