A man in a wheelchair was being questioned Wednesday morning after he shot a man who was trying to rob him, police said.
Officers found the accused robber around 2 a.m. in the 12000 block of Crystalwood Drive near Kenwood Lane shot in the back. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The man in the wheelchair approached officers during the investigation and said he opened fire in self-defense.
Police recovered two weapons from the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
