LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas – Liberty County police arrested a naked man Monday who they said was found hiding on a roof after he was involved in a burglary, police said.
Police said they responded around noon to reports of a citizen chasing a man who had stole items from the Ott Hotel at 305 Travis St.

Officials said the citizen lost sight of the suspect in the 1800 block of Sam Houston.
After searching the area for the man, police discovered him on the roof between the Opry building and the FLNB corner building.
Police said they found Lewis William Peden, 38, naked, hiding inside an air-conditioning area with multiple items in his hands.
Officials said he told police that he took off his clothes in an attempt to conceal himself.
Peden is charged with burglary of a habitation. His bond was set at $100,000.
