HOUSTON – A woman was taken to the hospital with severe injuries after reportedly being run over by her boyfriend's vehicle, officials said.
Police responded to reports of an auto-pedestrian incident just before 2 a.m. Sunday on Bellaire Boulevard near Renwick Drive.

When police arrived, they found a woman lying in the middle of the road, police said.
According to authorities, the woman and her boyfriend had been arguing at the location, when her boyfriend allegedly ran her over and fled the location.
Police said the boyfriend driving a black Scion came back to the scene while police were investigating.
Police said the man was taken into custody.
