Pearland police officers rescue ducklings from storm drain

PEARLAND, Texas – Pearland police captured an adorable rescue on camera after some ducklings fell into a storm drain last week.

Sgt. Adam Carroll saw a mother duck pacing near a drain near the 2500 block of Business Center in Pearland.

Police pointed out that as the rescue was carried out, the mother duck that periodically flew over and checked the officer's progress.

The Pearland Police Department’s Facebook page pointed out: “The ducklings were reunited with their mother who no doubt gave them a stern talking to!”

Duckling Rescue Caught on Video - On April 16, 2017 at around 10:20 PM Pearland Police Sergeant Adam Carroll and Officer Matthew Webb conducted a rescue of 12 ducklings that had fallen into a storm drain near the 2500 block of Business Center. Sgt. Carroll was alerted by the mother duck who can be seen pacing near the drain at the start of the video. As the rescue was carried out, the mother duck would periodically fly over and check the officer's progress. The ducklings were reunited with their mother who no doubt gave them a stern talking to!
